Natural Remedies For
Acne
Our skin or dermis, specially on the face, is essentially an
organ that eliminates waste from the body, so once it's deprived
of its natural means to perform its duty, it reacts in a very
unlikely manner -- by developing acne. When this happens, the
natural remedies for acne are the best solution to alleviate the
problem and cure the inflammation. However, the natural remedies
are not medications as most people think. Instead, these
remedies encompass dietary habits like the reduction of
processed food, inclusion of fresh vegetables and fruits and
whole grain and fiber-rich cereals in the healthy diet, and
proper intake of water rather than carbonated drinks.
Natural remedies for acne also include topical medications made
from nature’'s bounty. Homeopathy touts the effectiveness of tea
tree oil in the fight against acne. Oil from tea tree can come
as cream, ointment, and soap. A toner with oil from tea tree
also reduces oil production by tightening skin pores. Also,
citrus fruits are considered natural cures for acne since the
vitamin C in such fruits helps dry pimples and lighten the
scars. At the same time lemon juice, orange juice, and ripe
tomato pulps are also effective remedies that are capable of
bringing the same result like those of the medicated solutions.
Green papaya, which contains papain that promotes skin
regeneration, also alleviates the skin problem by breaking the
protein bonds of dead skin cells. The papaya enzyme also combats
the collection of pus and bacteria. By applying a piece of
papaya on affected areas, the skin gradually reduces redness and
infection. Garlic is another natural solution in treating acne.
Allicin from garlic has a strong anti-microbial property that
helps in fighting acne, thus when it's soaked in milk (to remove
the strong odor) and crushed in water and applied to skin, it
becomes an effective anti-acne infusion that cleans and prevents
the skin from developing more acne.
